ABSTRACT. The present invention discloses a speedometer assembly adapted to be mounted on, and pulled behind a sliding vehicle such as a snow sled. The assembly comprises wheels mounted on a housing and two gears adapted to cooperate with each other, with the wheels, and with a speedometer cable. The wheels have a peripheral tread allowing them to engage and grip on a hard or soft sliding surface, such that they rotate proportionately to the speed of the vehicle, actuating the gears. These gears cooperate with a speedometer cable, thus allowing indication of the speed of the vehicle.
