- 1 - A B S T R A C T An improved joint of sleeveless tubes with taper thread (tubing) is described. In order to improve sealing even after repeated screwing and unscrewing operations of the tubes so as these can be used again several times, there are provided two shoulders of which a primary one at the outside of the joint on the male tube and a secondary one at the inside of the joint, at the bottom of the female tube. It is additionally provided, on the inner side of the joint and laterally with respect to said secondary shoulder, a zone of interference between a convex portion of the male element and a corresponding tapered surface of the female element, past the threaded portion thereof, the screw thread being further provided with a thread form showing on one side a flank for engagement of both elements, male and female, whereas at the opposite side there is a slight clearance allowing the thread accommodation. Furthermore an additional sealing device is provided in case of innerly lined tubes.
