A slewing type working machine, comprising a slewing body installed on the upper part of a traveling apparatus (1), wherein the rear projected length of the slewing body (8) from the center of slewing of the slewing body (8) is generally equal to a length between the center of the slewing and a crawler side end, and the engine cooling system thereof is a discharge type. A discharge opening (15b) discharging cooling air is formed in a bonnet (15) covering an engine (30), and an upward wind direction plate (16a) is installed in the discharging opening (15b).
