A food slicer (10) for automatic operation having a staged dynamic brake (56) for bringing the slicer carriage (17) to rest at a predetermined location in a smooth manner. A sensor or system of sensors (28-29) are utilized to detect the slicer carriage location. The sensor output is fed through a microprocessor which controls a dynamic brake which in turn acts upon the slicer carriage. The brake acts upon the carriage in two or more stages, so as to bring the carriage to rest in a smooth manner. The invention may also operate to as to bring the carriage to rest in a predetermined location.
Cette invention se rapporte à une trancheuse (10) pour aliments, à fonctionnement automatique, qui comprend un frein dynamique étagé (56) servant à amener le chariot (17) de la trancheuse à s'arrêter à un endroit prédéterminé sans à-coup. Un capteur ou un système de capteurs (28-29) sont utilisés pour détecter la position du chariot de la trancheuse. Le signal de sortie du ou des capteurs est introduit dans un microprocesseur, qui commande un frein dynamique, lequel agit à son tour sur le chariot de la trancheuse. Ledit frein agit sur le chariot en deux phases ou davantage, afin d'amener le chariot à s'arrêter sans à-coup. Cette invention peut également être utilisée pour amener le chariot à s'arrêter à un endroit prédéterminé.
