SLIDE CONNECTORS WITH LOCKING MEANS Abstract This invention relates to the slide connectors with locking means for removably connecting two boards in L-connection or three boards in T-connection or four boards in Cross connection, which connection comp- rises a four-sided elongated member including four retaining slide grooves respectively included in four sides of the elongated member and a plura- lity of retaining slide rails rigidly affixed to the extremities of the boards, respectively, wherein the retaining slide rails slidably engaging the retaining slide grooves included in the elongated member are locked to the elongated member by a set screw threadedly engaging a hole central- ly disposed in one end of the elongated member, which set screw inter- feres with crest of the retaining slide rails. Storage shelves such as book shelves are used in many homes. The existing methods of constructing storage shelves are unsatisfactory to many users, especially those who live in the apartments or rented houses and have to move frequently, for the reason that the existing permanently assembled book shelves are not only bulky but also lack structural rigi- dity and, consequently, they are a nuisance in moving. Furthermore, some times it is difficult to find the right spaces for the preassembled book shelves in many apartment buildings. There do exist modular type and/or knock down type book shelves, however, such book shelves constructed per existing technology lack elegance and versatility in appearance and construction. The primary object of the present invention is to provide the slide connectors with locking means that enables construction of a custom designed storage shelf system by using a set of standard components. Another object of the present invention is to provide the slide connectors with locking means for constructing storage shelves which can be easily assembled and disassembled by the users. - 1 -
