ABSTRACT An end stop of a slide fastener having plastic, continuous fastener elements of coil or meandering type stitched to the respective tapes is made of a plate-like synthetic material and is provided with a ridge extending along the stitch line securing the respective elements, covered by the stop, to the respective tape. The invention presents the advance of preventing the ultrasonic energy used in securing the stop member to the fastener to damage the region of stitches which secure the fastener region of the stop member to the respective stringer tape.
