Abstract of the Disclosure A slide fastener having two carrier strips, each having an attached row of base members, each base member having a single arm made from thermo- plastic material and having a carrier band between them, wherein each individual single arm base member is produced by a continuous injection process in molds having a mold wheel and a mold belt, the portion produced in the mold wheel having a mushroom shaped head and the carrier band is carrier thread through the mold wheel portion, and the portion produced in the mold belt having projecting lateral closing elements to cooperate with respective coupling heads on the other carrier strip.
