A slide fastener formed by folding a single continuous piece of stringer tape so that the fastening elements provided along a longitudinal edge of the stringer tape are facing opposite to each other. The folded portion of the stringer tape forms an end stop at one end of the slide fastener. The fastening elements are threaded through a slider and another end stop is provided at the other end of the slide fastener.
