SLIDE FASTENER WITH FILM-COVERED SEVERED-ELEMENT SEPARATING PIN ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A slide fastener is disclosed for use in a sleeping bag, jacket or other article. A separating end stop is formed at one end of the slide fastener by a slider-retaining end stop on one half of the slide fastener and a separating end device formed by remaining severed pairs of leg portions of a series of coupling elements from which the head portions have been removed and a thermoplastic film folded over the severed pairs of leg portions and bonded to opposite sides of the other half of the slide fastener.
