The invention relates to a slide for movement along a lifeline, comprising a body (1) provided with a guide channel (38) on a cable and a handle (4) for cooperation with an attached connector body, said handle (4) pivoting relative to the body (1), characterised in that the pivoting of the handle (4) relative to the body (1) has a freedom of movement in an axis of rotation (35) in a perpendicular direction to the longitudinal axis of the guide channel (38) and different to the direction of action of the connector body on the handle (4).
