A slide valve (10) for control of product flow through it in which the valve internals, an orifice plate (22), and guide assembly (30), are maintained in position by a circumferentially extending attachment stub (26) surrounding and welded to a circumferentially extending weld-on stub (28) welded to the orifice plate (22), the circumferentially extending attachment stub (26) being welded to an internal end of the support cone (18) and to the weld-on stub (28) whereby the internals may be released and removed through the bonnet area of the slide valve (10) by cutting the weld between the attachment stub (26) and the weld-on stub (28), and replaced through the bonnet area and rewelding the weld-on stub (28) and the attachment stub (26) with another fillet weld (27). This places the fillet weld (27) under compression rather than under tension.
La présente invention concerne une vanne-tiroir (10) destinée à la régulation du flux d'un produit qui la traverse, dans laquelle les éléments internes de vanne, une plaque à orifice (22), et un ensemble de guidage (30) sont maintenus en position par une embase de liaison périphérique (26) entourant et étant soudée sur une embase de soudure périphérique (28) soudée sur la plaque à orifice (22), l'embase de liaison périphérique (26) étant soudée sur une extrémité interne du cône de support (18) et sur l'embase de soudure (28).
