ABSTRACT A locking slider for a slide fastener is disclosed as including a slider body having a boss thereon with means to retain pivotally a locking spring having a resilient forward portion, the slider body and the locking spring having opposed cam surfaces that cooperate with a pull tab to release a locking prong when the pull tab is pulled, regardless of the orientation of the pull tab.
