ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A slider handling apparatus has a pressure roller and a drive roller peripherally engageable therewith to transfer a slide fastener chain assembled with component parts including sliders. A slider arresting means is operatively associated with the pressure and drive rollers for arresting sliders one at a time on the fastener chain at a predetermined point on the path of travel of the chain, the predetermined point being upstream of or in advance to the nip of the two rollers.
