ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sliding arrangement for slidably mounting a caliper to a carrier in a disc brake is provided wherein the caliper has pins slidably received by the respective bores of the carrier. The sliding arrange- ment permits each supporting portion of the caliper to stay on the corresponding pin even if the pin becomes in loose engagement condition with the corre- sponding support portion of the caliper, thus providing safeguard against accidental disengagement of the caliper from the carrier.
