ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a sliding block adapted to cooperate with a U-shaped carrier and adapted to support a component for movement along said carrier, comprising a base mem- ber having a head and a shaft projecting therefrom and adapted to cooperate with said movable component, the head being defined by two parallel side walls arranged at a mutual distance mainly cor- responding to the distance between the shanks of the U-shaped carrier, each of said side walls being provided with a groove adapted to receive one of said shanks, and a channel-shaped cover adapted to enclose the head transversely to the said side walls thereof.
