The invention relates to a sliding closure (1) for a receptacle containing molten metal, comprising a housing frame (3) that can be fastened to a spout of the recep-tacle, a refractory base plate (5) and a sliding unit (7) having a refractory sliding plate (8) that can be sealingly pressed against the base plate by means of spring elements (11) and a contiguous refractory spout sleeve (9) being contained in said housing frame. The case (4) has a second base plate (6) juxtaposed to the base plate (5) and can be displaced inside the housing frame (3) at a right angle to the direction of movement of the sliding unit (7) from an initial position in which the base plate (5) is in an operating position towards a fi-nal position in which the second base plate (6) is in the operating position. It is therefore possible to replace the base plate, which especially in converters wears outs very quickly, by a new base plate in a rapid and convenient manner without interrupting the casting operation.

L'invention concerne un obturateur à tiroir (1) pour un récipient contenant un bain métallique, cet obturateur comprenant une structure de boîtier (3) venant se monter sur l'orifice de coulée du récipient, et comprenant une plaque de fond réfractaire (5) ainsi qu'un ensemble tiroir (7) comprenant une plaque coulissante (8) pressée de façon étanche par des organes élastique (11) contre la plaque de fond, et une busette de coulée (9) réfractaire venant se relier à celle ci. Un châssis (4) est pourvu d'une seconde plaque (6) de fond placée à côté de la première plaque de fond (5) et peut être poussé, perpendiculairement à la direction de déplacement de l'ensemble tiroir (7), d'une première position dans laquelle la première plaque de fond (5) est en position d'utilisation à une seconde position dans laquelle la seconde plaque de fond (6) est en position d'utilisation. Cette structure permet un remplacement rapide et aisé de la plaque de fond qui, en particulier dans les convertisseurs, s'use rapidement, par une nouvelle plaque de fond, sans interruption du processus de coulée.
