SLIDING DOOR ASSEMBLY Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to sliding door assemblies. Present sliding doors do not permit the sliders and doors to move around sharp bends or corners into out of the way storage positions to facilitate cleaning and easy access to the area closed off by the doors. The doors are mounted in overhead tracks by being suspended therefrom by pivotal hangers and are capable of being laterally moved. The pivotal hangers cooperate with and follow the course of the tracks around corners and curves to permit movement of the doors into out of the way storage positions. Each of the pivotal hangers are pivotable about a sub- stantially vertical axis and each include a rotatable wheel which tracks in guide channels in the tracks. A bracket is mounted between the wheel and the door and has an upper end with a substantially horizontally extending axis upon which the wheel rotates. The bracket including a central crank portion which bends around the guide channel of the overhead track. The central crank portion is adapted to strike or bear against an inner corner of said overhead track whenever the wheel of said hanger reaches a corner in said overhead track.
