A device for closing a sliding door comprises a pair of slidable telescoped tubes. The device is secured at its outer ends to the sliding door and to a supporting door frame. A compression spring is located within the tubes urging the sliding door to return by itself from its open to its closed position. A string extends between the end portions of the tubes to prevent the tubes from being separated and a clamping means is adapted for locking the sliding door in any desired open position.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif de fermeture d'une porte coulissante comprenant une paire de tubes télescopiques. Il est fixé par ses deux extrémités à la porte coulissante et au cadre de porte, respectivement. Un ressort de compression placé dans les tubes rappelle automatiquement la porte coulissante vers sa position fermée. Un cordon attaché entre les extrémités des tubes sert à empêcher ceux-ci de se séparer complètement, et un moyen de serrage est prévu pour caler la porte coulissant dans une quelconque position d'ouverture intermédiaire.
