A device for closing a sliding door is described. The device attaches to the trailing edge of the sliding door and extends a tensioned cable from a spool to the door frame. When the sliding door is opened, the cable extends and undergoes an increase in tension. When the door is released, the cable is retracted and undergoes a decrease in tension as it forces the door closed. Cable tensioning is provided by a torsion spring that connects the cable spool to a concentric ratcheted axle. The device permits the user to readily increase or decrease the tension of the cable independently of the amount of cable extended by either ratcheting the axle with respect to the spool or by releasing the ratchet pawl. 12
Cette invention concerne un dispositif de fermeture pour porte coulissante. L'objet de l'invention se fixe au bord de fuite d'une porte coulissante relié par un câble sous tension à une bobine montée sur le cadre de la porte.. € l'ouverture de la porte, le câble se déroule et subit une augmentation de tension. Lorsque la porte est relâchée, le câble se rembobine et se détend à mesure que la porte se referme. La mise sous tension du câble est assurée par un ressort de torsion établi entre la bobine et un axe concentrique à rochet. L'objet de l'invention permet à l'utilisateur de régler à la hausse ou à la baisse la tension du câble à son gré sans modifier la longueur de câble déroulé, respectivement en bloquant et en libérant l'axe par rapport à la bobine.
