Abstract A swinging arm door control mechanism is provided suitable for use for positioning a slide block for guiding the lower edge track of a sliding plug door of a vehicle, the mechanism including a swinging arm which has a cam track and a cam member, the swinging arm being rotatable to swing inwardly and outwardly of the side of a vehicle about an axis which is fixed relative to the cam member, driven by a common cam follower member which moves the swinging arm cam track by virtue of the constraints of the cam member. - 1 -
