ABSTRACT This invention relates to a sliding seat lock assembly particularly adapted for use in association with support means such as those which support the user's body while his feet remain in contact with the ground. The seat lock assembly comprises essentially a base which is displaceable relative to a support member; a means to guide the base along the support member; and a means adapted to frictionally engage with said support member; wherein the location of seat and of the engaging means relative to said guide means are such that a moment is created about one of said guide means when a user sits on the seat.
