ABSTRACT A slope control system for the working tool of an earth- working machine is disclosed having a slope sensor for sensing the slope of the working tool wherein the slope sensor is sus- pended from the frame of the earth-working machine and is allowed to move only vertically and in the roll direction, a support having one end for supporting the slope sensor for controlling the movement of the slope sensor in the roll direction and having a second end, a linkage for connecting the second end of the support to the earth-working tool so that the first end is rotated as the earth-working tool is rotated, and a control apparatus responsive to the slope sensor for controlling the slope of the working tool.
