ABSTRACT Sodium fluoride at about 8 to 20 parts, and sugar at about 35 to 45 parts, talc at about 1 to 10 parts, magnesium stearate at about 1 to 5 parts are substantially homogeneously dispersed throughout a wax matrix of carnauba wax at about 35 to 70 parts, at preferred particle sizes, on a weight basis of 100, and the compressed tablet thereof is administered orally to patients in treatment of osteoporosis, and the method includ- ing a required series of selective blending progressively of various of the ingredients at preferred particle sizes, followed by compacting into a dense tablet.
