D-16871 SLURRIES OF WATER SOLUBLE POLYMERS Abstract of the Disclosure Slurry compositions containing water-soluble poly(ethylene oxide) polymers are provided which contain a water-miscible, organic, liquid vehicle, and a hydrophobically-modified, hydrophilic, particulate material. Upon shearing, the particulate material exhibits surface active properties and can impart high viscosity and pseudoplastic characteristics to the slurry, thereby making the slurry stable, pourable and pumpable. - 33 -
