ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A gel-type explosive having enhanced storage sta- bility is provided. It includes a solid explosive material (e.g. T.N.T., PETN, RDX or pentolite) dispersed within a gel-type slurry containing antifreeze components (e.g. urea, formamide and ethylene glycol) and at least 1.25% by weight guar as a thickner.
