Accordingly, the subject invention provides polymer composition comprising an ethylene homopolymer or an interpolymer of ethylene at least one compound represented by the formula H2C = CHR wherein R is a C1 - C20linear, branched or cyclic alkyl group or a C6 - C20aryl group, or a C4-C20 linear, branched or cyclic diene, said polymer composition characterized as having a percent swell of at least 175 percent, a monomodal molecular weight distribution, and an Mw/Mn of from 1.5 to 10. Such polymers are obtainable through the use of supported catalyst derived from functionalized catalyst supports in slurry polymerization processes.
La présente invention concerne une composition polymère contenant un homopolymère d'éthylène ou un interpolymère d'éthylène, au moins un composé représenté par la formule H¿2?C = CHR dans laquelle R représente un groupe alkyle C¿1? - C¿20? linéaire, ramifié ou cyclique ou un groupe aryle C¿6? - C¿20?, ou une diène C¿4?-C¿20? linéaire, ramifiée ou cyclique. La composition polymère se caractérise par un pourcentage de gonflement qui est au moins égal à 175 pour cent, une distribution du poids moléculaire monomode, et un rapport Mw/Mn compris entre 1,5 et 10. Ces polymères peuvent être obtenus moyennant l'utilisation d'un catalyseur sur support provenant de supports de catalyseurs fonctionnalisés dans des procédés de polymérisation en suspension.
