A molding apparatus (11) and method, such as slush or rotational molding, for forming a thermoplastic shell (15) or skin product. The mold apparatus includes a hollow mold housing provided with a mold shell thereon, which together define an air chamber (75) located within the mold housing. A plurality of air flow control devices (80), such as centrifugal fans, are mounted within the mold housing and direct heated air into the air chamber (75) through discharge channels defined within the mold housing. The mold apparatus also includes an elongate air supply (32) and heating arrangement which generates heated air within the mold housing and along substantially the entire longitudinal extent thereof to effect uniform heating of the mold shell (15).

Le dispositif de moulage comprend un moule creux doté d'une coquille de moule (15), ces deux éléments définissant ainsi une chambre à air (75) située à l'intérieur du moule.
