The SFP transceiver module of the present invention comprises a cage corresponding to SFP dimensions, at least one serial digital interface for receiving and/or transmitting an electrical signal, at least one signal conditioning unit for conditioning a received signal, and a host connector for receiving and/or transmitting a conditioned signal.
