A connector assembly for detachably connecting an electrical lead to an implantable medical device for emitting electrical pulses is provided. One or more deflectable connector clips are positioned inside or partially inside a compact housing that is designed to deflect the connector clips in a partially loaded state so that insertion of the terminal pin of an electrical lead causes a minor deflection of the spring clip, but results in high retention force. The positioning of the connector clip in the housing in a partially loaded state results in a relatively flat force deflection curve. The one or more connector clips are preferably electrically conducting metal and may be formed into a U-shape. The connector clips are generally positioned to provide multiple contact points with an inserted terminal pin of a lead.

Cette invention concerne un ensemble connecteur permettant de brancher de manière libérable un fil électrique sur un dispositif médical implantable en vue de l'émission d'impulsions électriques. Une ou plusieurs attaches souples de connecteur sont disposées à l'intérieur ou partiellement à l'intérieur d'un logement de petite taille conçu pour faire fléchir les connecteurs en un état partiellement chargé de sort que l'insertion de la fiche d'un fil électrique provoque une légère flexion de l'attache à ressort, mais procure une force de rétention élevée. La position de l'attache sous charge partielle dans le boîtier se traduit par une courbe de flexion relativement plate. La ou les attaches de connecteur sont faites de préférence dans un métal électriquement conducteur et peuvent présenter la forme d'un U. Ces attaches sont généralement disposées de manière à avoir une multiplicité de points de contact avec la fiche du fil lorsqu'elle est en position d'insertion.
