A process and method is provided for operating a small-scale high-throughput gasifier. As is known in the art, the exothermic combustion reactions can be separated from the endothermic gasification reactions. The exothermic combustion reactions can take place in or near the combustor (118) while the endothermic gasification reactions take place in the gasifier (102). Heat from the exothermic zone is transferred to the endothermic reaction zone by circulation of an inert particulate solid such as sand. In order to increase efficiency by reducing heat loss from the gasifier, the gasifier (102) is concentrically-disposed within the endothermic reaction zone of the combustor (118).
Cette invention concerne un système et un procédé d'utilisation d'un gazéificateur de taille réduite à fort débit. On sait que les réactions de combustion exothermique peuvent être séparées des réactions de gazéification endothermique. Les réaction de combustion exothermique peuvent se dérouler à l'intérieur ou à proximité de la chambre de combustion (118) alors que les réactions de gazéification endothermique ont lieu dans le gazéificateur (102). La chaleur dégagée dans la zone exothermique est transférée à la zone de réaction endothermique par circulation d'un solide particulaire inerte tel que du sable. Pour réduire les pertes thermiques du gazéificateur et donc augmenter l'efficacité, on dispose le gazéificateur (102) concentriquement dans la zone de réaction endothermique de la chambre de combustion (118).
