A smart card acceptor device having a face plate (1) with a card slot (7) through which a smart card (13) can be inserted into a smart card reader (4). The card reader (4) is separately mounted from a controller module (2) and can be readily disconnected and detached from the module. A gap is left between the rear surface (15) of the card slot (7) and the mouth (16) of the card reader (4), so small foreign objects inserted through the slot (7) will fall through the gap.

Ce dernier est monté séparément d'un module contrôleur (2), dont il peut être facilement déconnecté et détaché. Un espace est laissé entre la surface arrière (15) de la fente (7) et l'ouverture (16) du lecteur (4), de façon que de petits objets étrangers introduits dans la fente (7) tombent dans ledit espace.
