A device is disclosed for smoking to- bacco or another smoking product (13) or for inhaling aerosols released by corresponding substances when they are heated. The sub- stance that constitutes the smoking product is shredded, granulated or otherwise crushed. The smoking product contained in a reser- voir (12) that forms a substantially closed chamber (16) is heated by convection by pre- viously heated air up to a temperature below its glow temperature. An electric heating device (8) that forms a heating air gener- ator (7) arranged in a channel is provided with an outlet nozzle (9) for introducing the heated air into the chamber after the air runs through the heating device and absorbs heat energy. The smoking product (13) is spread in a substantially even manner on a saucer- like surface (12) in the chamber (16). The outlet nozzle is arranged in such a way that the heated air that flows out of the nozzle flows directly on to the smoking product and heats it through up to a temperature close to but lower than its glow temperature.
L'invention concerne un dispositif pour fumer du tabac ou d'autres produits à fumer (13) ou pour inhaler des aérosols libérés par des substances correspondantes lorsqu'elles sont chauffées. La substance qui constitue le produit à fumer se présente sous forme coupée, granulée ou fractionnée d'une autre façon, et est placée dans un réservoir (12) qui forme une chambre (16) sensiblement fermée, où elle est portée par convection à une température inférieure à sa température d'incadescence, par de l'air chauffé au préalable. Un système de chauffage électrique (8) constituant un générateur d'air chaud (7) est placé dans un canal et comporte un ajutage de sortie (9) servant à injecter l'air chauffé dans la chambre, après que ledit air ait traversé le système de chauffage et y ait emmagasiné de l'énergie thermique. Le produit à fumer (13) est dispersé de manière sensiblement plane sur une surface (12) de la chambre (16), se présentant sous forme de soucoupe. L'ajutage de sortie est disposé de manière à ce que l'air chauffé qui en sort passe directement sur le produit à fumer et que celui-ci puisse être porté à une température avoisinant sa température d'incandescence, mais toutefois inférieure à cette dernière.
