ABSTRACT A SMOKING PIPE HAVING AN ADJUSTABLE/REMOVABLE FILTER INSERT The idea behind this invention is to prevent to a great extent the amount of nicotine, tar and moisture absorbed through tobacco smoking from reaching the mouth. The filtering can be adjusted to let through a minimum amount of nicotine and tar to let the individual appreciate the taste of tobacco without absorbing any appreciable amount of lung damaging nicotine and tar or gradually if desired by decreasing the filtering to let through a greater amount of nicotine to appease the lust of the heavier smoker accustomed to heavier absorbtion of nicotine. The main purpose of the filtering, however is to allow the individual to smoke as heavily as desired but at the same time preventing the harmful intake of tobacco nicotine and tar from reaching the lungs, thus reducing to a very great extent the harmful resulting damage to the lungs of the addicted pipe smoker. This method of filtering adjustment will help the heavy smoker to accustom himself through the introduction of a filter adjustment gradually to get used to smoking with a filter.
