SNAP-IN SELF-CENTERING MECHANISM BUTTON ABSTRACT This invention comprehends a button mounted in the rear portion of the spinning style fishing reel to operate a self- centering bail mechanism. The button includes a cantilever spring arm extending within a button-mounting passage and which coacts with mounting structure to releasably retain the button within the passage. Additionally, the cantilever spring arm has a surface which is urged laterally against a surface of the button-mounting passage to yieldably maintain the button in a selected position lengthwise of the button-mounting passage.
