A wear guide assembly for use with a plastic modular conveying belt (109) comprises a wear guide (100) and a support channel (124). The wear guide (100) snap fits into position onto the support channel (124). The wear guide (100) has a back wall (112), a first wall (115) extending from the back wall (112), and a second wall (118) extending from the back wall (112). The support channel (124) has a back wall, a first side wall, and a second side wall. The first and second side walls have distal portions bordering an opening. The first and second side walls have opposed projections extending from the distal portions that form first and second shoulders.
