- 7 - ABSTRACT A snap-on leg assembly for a barrier or fence consists of two elongate legs arranged side by side with a fulcrum between them. A resilient retainer engages the legs above the fulcrum and biases them towards one another so that opposed clamping faces of the two legs near the upper ends are in engagement. The leg assembly can be engaged with a barrier rail by forcing the rail between the upper ends of the legs to be retained in place by the resilient force of the retainer. The leg can likewise be attached to a vertical post and used to support a vertical panel between the lower ends of the legs.
