ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A snell of synthetic plastic resin for connecting a fishhook to a line or leader is formed with a hook connector at one end of a strand and a line connector or eye at the other end of the strand as an integral structure. The hook connector provides a cylindrical sleeve to receive and hold the shank end of a hook. The line connector is formed with an axial passage- way commencing at its extended end and extending to a transverse passageway open at the side of the line connector. This passage way receives the end of a line which is threaded through the passageways, knotted and secured thereinto. A snelled fishhook comprises the snell with a fishhook shank permanently moulded in the hook connector sleeve.
