A B S T R A C T A snow board assembly which can be used on ice or snow comprises fore and aft runners carried on trucks secured to the undersurface of a foot board. The skateboard wheels are not utilised at all, but the ends of the truck axles pivot in brackets on the runners so that the runners can tilt in a fore and aft direction, while lateral tilting as is required for making turns is provided by the trucks. In order to limit the possibility of failure of the trucks owing to increased forces being applied to them, abutment screws on the sides of the foot board engage surfaces on the runners so that the lateral tilting is restricted.
