ABSTRACT An improved snow-making nozzle for producing snow from a mixture of compressed air and water comprises a structure permitting less compressed air to be used in producing a moisture laden spray of small uniformly sized aeriated water particles which have sufficient velocity to assure that they freeze in the ambient air before hitting the ground. The invention has internal means defining a longitudinally extending air passageway with a cylindrical end adapted to mate to a source of compressed air and having an adapter portion which alters the cylindrical shape of the passageway to a rectangular cross section of a throat portion having the ratio of the longer side to the shorter side of at least 10 to 1. The top and bottom walls of the throat portion form a convergent-divergent nozzle with the throat portion having an arcuate shape with a radius along the longer rectangular dimension. Nozzle ports are provided at the throat section to inject uniform streams of water into the exiting air, the endmost ports having their axes emanating from approximately the same center as that for the radius of curvature of the throat itself.
