A snow melting apparatus comprising a receptacle for receiving snow, one or more burner assemblies mounted in operable arrangement with the receptacle, and one or more collecting tray within the receptacle. The collecting tray is effective for collecting debris which accumulates in the receptacle during operation. Advantageously, the receptacle comprises one or more resealable doors for evacuating the collection tray therefrom, and thus empty any debris collected therein.
