ABSTRACT A drive train has a torque limiting coupling to prevent excessive torque from damaging the components. The coupling has a rotary member with an inner web of resilient material. The web has a central aperture with a plurality of sides for receiving a polygonal drive member. Under normal torque, the drive member and rotary member rotate in unison. The web has a plurality of slits extending from the aperture. These slits enable the sides of the aperture to move outward for allowing relative movement between the drive member and the rotary member in case of excessive torque.
