An attachment for a snowboard comprising a base intended to contain the foot, an instep pad to cover the upper surface of the foot, and an articulated rear support to cover the back of the heel and the leg. The instep pad is connected to the base by tension cords passing through the sides of the base and attached to the rear support. The rear support is maintained in a vertical position by a spring lever. When the lever is pulled, the rear support can move back and down, freeing up space at the rear and releasing the tension, thus enabling easy foot entry. Bringing the rear support back up reestablishes the tension in the cords to maintain the foot firmly in place thanks to the combined effects of the rear support and the instep pad. When the board is not in use, the rear support can be folded down to the base to minimize the storage space required.
