-30- "SNOWMOBILE CONVERSION ASSEMBLY FOR MOTOR VEHICLES" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A subframe carries pairs of track engaging wheels on rocking beams along each side thereof and is adjustable longitudinally for track tension adjustment. This frame is secured by the rear end thereof to below the rear axle and is held upon a spacer inserted between the axle and the spring saddles. Sprockets attached to the rear brake drums in place of the wheels and engage the track to drive same. A pair of skis is mounted on beams extending from and attach- ed to the front of said subframe and these skis are situated forwardly of the wheels. Steering plates are secured to the front brake drums in place of the wheels and are operatively connected to the skis by linkage so that the steering wheel of the vehicle turns the skis for steering. The weight of the front of the vehicle is pivotally supported upon a ball joint secured to the beams directly below the axis of the king pins of the vehicles.
