ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A stand for raising a snowmobile includes a base and an upwardly extending column secured thereto. An elongated lever is pivotally attached to the column. The lever has a first end which is accessible and movable from an upper position to a selected lower position and a second end pivotally secured to an upwardly extending ratchet so that depression of the first end of the lever from the upper position to the selected lower position raises the ratchet to a selected height. A pawl is provided for locking the ratchet in the selected position. The stand can be used to raise the endless track of a snowmobile off the ground for an extended period of time.
