A snowplow and mount assembly comprising a mount frame adapted to be secured to a vehicle, and a snowplow frame. The snowplow frame includes a jack stand movable to and between an extended ground contacting and snowplow frame supporting position and a retracted ground noncontacting and snowplow frame nonsupporting position. A latch mechanism is used to removably secure the snowplow frame to the mount frame. A latch lever actuates the latch mechanism to latched and unlatched positions. The latch lever operably frees the jack stand for movement into the extended position when the latch mechanism is in the unlatched position and operably prevents jack stand movement maintaining the jack stand in the retracted position when the latch mechanism is in the latched position.

Chasse-neige et bâti constitué d'un cadre permettant d'installer le chasse-neige sur un véhicule et d'une structure de chasse-neige. La structure de chasse-neige comprend une chandelle dont on peut adapter la position entre deux extrêmes : une position complètement abaissée (chasse-neige en contact avec le sol) et une position complètement relevée (chasse-neige complètement relevé et ne touchant pas le sol). Un mécanisme de verrouillage sert à fixer la structure du chasse-neige à son cadre. Un levier de blocage permet d'actionner le mécanisme de verrouillage et de le faire passer de verrouillé à déverrouillé, et inversement. Lorsque le mécanisme de verrouillage est déverrouillé, le levier de blocage permet de libérer la chandelle et de mettre le chasse-neige en contact avec le sol; lorsque le mécanisme est verrouillé, le levier empêche la chandelle de bouger, ce qui permet de retenir le chasse-neige en position relevée.
