ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A snowshoe comprising a central, forwardly located opening for receiving the front of a wearer's foot; at least one attachment slot extending transversely across the snowshoe at the rear of the opening, and a harness having a front portion, a heel engaging portion and attachment means extending from the front portion. These attachment means comprise at least one tab extending downwardly and transversely across the harness and a tubular section located at the free end of the tab. A locking pin is passed through the tubular section for securing the attachment means into the slot when the free end of the tab is inserted through the slot.
