SOAP COMPOSITION ABSTRACT A bar soap composition is provided having improved crack resistance, a more stable, creamier and unusually large volume of lather, outstanding lubricity and noticeable softening, smoothness, and anti-irritating effects on the skin after use. The soap compositions comprise conventional soap formulations and "combars" (soap and synthetic detergent) and as additives to provide the aforementioned benefits from about 0.1 to about 15% by weight of an anionic polymaleic electrolyte.
