ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Hard spherical bleaching particles are disclosed whose composition is an intimately dispersed agglomerated core mixture of an active halogen oxidizing material, an inorganic diluent salt and a binder. The cores are coated with a mixture of from about 70-85% of a C16- C18 fatty acid soap and from about 15-30% of a C12- C14 fatty acid soap. A method for bleaching substrates and also a process for preparing the bleach particles are disclosed.
