A soccer corner post comprises a main post having a top end and a bottom end, and defining a first longitudinal axis extending therebetween. A flag is attached to the main post adjacent the top end. A stake having a main body portion defining a second longitudinal axis, a ground-insertion end and a post-engaging end, is retained by the main post adjacent the bottom end of the main post in a selected one of an extended position whereat the ground-insertion end of the stake is disposed below the bottom end of the main post, and a retracted position whereat the ground-insertion end of the stake is disposed above the bottom end of the main post. Alternatively, a soccer corner post comprises a main post having a top end and a bottom end, a flag secured to the main post adjacent the top end, a stake extending downwardly from the bottom end of the main post to terminate in an ground-insertion end, and, a cover member selectively engageable on the main post over the stake.
