ABSTRACT A clip-on fixture system for holding the socket baby of an incandescent lamp to a panel. The system includes a self-biased clip member connected to the bottom wall of the socket body that radially extends from the body into a locking relationship with a hold-down member connected to the panel. The clip member forms a holding recess that receives a radially transverse bar of the hold down member after biased insertion through a passageway under the bar. The clip member is released from the biased mode to the unbiased mode thus locking the clip member under the bar and holding the socket body to the panel. The clip member can be removed from the hold-down member by reversing the mounting process.
